Mother's Day

For me, Mother's Day is always bittersweet. I lost my mom to colorectal cancer five weeks before my daughter was born. It was a time of great sorrow and great joy. Today, I still miss the wisdom and caring my mom offered and I miss having someone who shared my history, encouraged my dreams, and believed in me. I also wish that my daughter knew her Grammy.
